Store or gift your best ring in this luscious handmade ring box! Made from extremely rare ebony wood, I created this treasure using cutoffs from a friend who is a luthier (someone who makes guitars). He had made a fretboard that was not quite the right size, so I was able to repurpose this incredible material for jewelry purposes. The top is another rare material, Brazilian rosewood, also reused from cutoffs from another woodworker.
While I love wood and woodworking, I thought this box needed something extra, so I created a lost-wax cast sterling silver pull for the top. A copper and brass base round out the piece.
A true project of love, the ring box is finished naturally with a French polish shellac and a velvet ring slot. See the videos to check out the details! *Wedding ring not included :)
