This awesome sterling silver hexagon pendant was hand cast using an ancient gravity pour technique called cuttlefish casting. The texture is from the striation in the calcified material of the cuttlefish bone. The process of cuttlefish casting is very fluid, and only one unique item can be cast into each bone. A hand-forged bail soldered in place completes the piece. The pendant has a patina applied to bring out the difference in the textures.
